Tommy B. Barnard, age 85, of Morristown, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He retired from USDA after thirty years, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Barnard; mother, Anna Mae Barnard; brothers, Alvin (Lillian), L.B. (Mildred), and Randall Barnard; brother-in-law, Lee Thomas; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doyle and Opal Broome. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Gail Barnard; sons, Tommy “Mike” Barnard and Tim Barnard; daughter, Kimberly Ball; granddaughters, Erica Barnard, Jessica Moore, Gabrielle (Tim) Robert, Anna (Scott) Ball, and Cameron Barnard; great-grandchildren, Benzlie and Kenzie Moore, Ledger Ruggles, and Corbin Robert; sister, Bernice Woods; sisters-in-law, Darless Barnard, Margaret (Eddie) Ray, and Kathy Dixon;brother-in-law, Doyle (Jeannie) Broome; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 30th at Grace Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Rev. James Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31st at Clear Springs Cemetery in Mascot for graveside services. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to Grace Baptist Church.
