Tommy Cox, age 87, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Serenity House. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Morristown and retired from American Enka. He served in the United States Army where he met his wife in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge and the Masons. He graduated Walters State Community College with Honors. He loved his plants, animals, and most of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Saint. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Paula Cox; daughter, Jeanne Cox-Koors; grandchildren, Alyssa Koors, McKenzie (John) Bolden; great grandchildren, Ryker Yeary, Presley Bolden, and Paislee Bolden; half brother, Ronnie (Judy) Hartsell of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and special cousin, Alice Pierce. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Tuesday, September 5th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Danny Georges officiating.
