Travis Scott Trent, age 45, of Morristown, gained his wings on Monday, January 26, 2026. Travis was saved when he was five years old and served as a deacon at Friendly View Missionary Baptist Church for twenty years. He played and helped in Special Olympics for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Trent; grandparents, Lonnie and Bonnie Seals and Ben and Mary Jane Trent; and nephew, Skylar Trent. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Trent; siblings, David (Loretta) Trent, Dale (Darlene) Trent, Cindy (Mike) Jarnigan, Chris (Kathy) Trent, and Mark Trent; thirteen nieces and nephews; twenty-eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Thursday, January 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Justin Winstead officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, January 30th at Seals Cemetery in Sneedville for graveside services. Pallbearers will be Billy Hart, Shane Moore, Shaun Turner, Kevin Hatfield, Eddie Bradley, Jr., and Jordan Trent. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Westside Chapel Funeral Home for funeral expenses. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
