Obituary

Victor S. Steinberg, born October 2, 1962, went to his Heavenly Father on May 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Elizabeth Steinberg; and son, David Victor Steinberg. He is survived by his three children, Sara Elizabeth Steinberg of Witchita, KS, Amy Hope Steinberg of Stanton, CA, and Hayden David Steinberg of Rogersville, TN. He leaves behind 4 brothers, Emmanuel “Booze” Bourgeois and wife, Pat Bourgeois, John Synnott and wife, Tari Synnott, George Synnott, and Lester Steinberg; three sisters, Charlotte Thomas (late husband, Larry “Sonny” Thomas), Alice Thomas and husband, Dick Thomas, and Connie Hudson and late husband, Vic Hudson; and her life partner, James Polly. Victor’s special friend, Debbie Bailey of Rogersville, TN; and ex-wife, Elizabeth Steinberg of Garden Grove, CA; bonus children, Brittany Bailey, Amber Bailey, Jessie Bailey, and Nolan Bailey, all from Rogersville, TN. Victor also leaves behind  beautiful grandchildren , Gabriel, Dominic, Shaelee, Brandy, Brody, and Ava; and great-grandchildren, Maeve Elizabeth; and 2 ex-sons-in-law, he will always love, Dustin Bolden (Sara) whom was a father to and help raise the boys, Gabriel and Dominic, and Brandon Denbow (Amy) father to Brandy, Brody, and Ava. Victor was “the favorite uncle” to over 23 nieces, nephews and great uncle to too many to count. Victor was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, known as poppop to them. He loved his family and his friends. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for you. He was raised in Huntington Beach, CA. Although his heart and fondest memories were in So. Cal, he moved to East Tennessee in 94/95, and made it his home. He was a mechanic by the love of the trade and it pained him to not be able to do the work he so loved any longer, but he could walk you through anything. He had a wonderful laugh and a good sense of humor and loved a good joke. He just loved being with family or friends and having a good time. Victor is loved by many and leaves behind a lot of broken hearts. He will truly be missed on this earth. We will all one day walk the lands of Heaven together. The receiving of friends and family will be held at Westside Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow.
