Virginia Ann Carter, age 77, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith and truly loved the Lord. Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mom, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, Charles Carter; son, Charles Allen Carter; parents, Coy and Margaret “Louise” Burgin; and sister, Margaret Sue Burgin. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Harrell, Rhonda (Duane) Osgood, and Christy (Richard) Evans; grandchildren, Gray Harrell, Emmy (Wash) Harrell, Brent Osgood, and Katie Coffey; great grandchildren, Carter Harrell, Beckett Harrell, Mason Osgood, Kylie Trojanowski, Aiden Osgood, and Ella Kate Coffey; and brothers, Carroll Burgin and Ralph (Carolyn) Burgin. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Elkins officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service on Wednesday, June 24th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
