Virginia M. (Whited) Wolfe

Virginia M. Whited Wolfe, age 98, born May 19, 1925 in Wise County, Virginia, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Charter Senior Living in Jefferson City. She was a member of Alpha Baptist Church for more than fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ray Wolfe; son, Mike Wolfe; parents, Rev. Carroll Whited and Abigail Whited Horner; grandsons, Chris Wolfe and Richard Hazelwood; brother, Dewey Whited; and sister, Minnie Anderson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Brushie Hazelwood; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Gail Wolfe; grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Hazelwood, Lori Nanny, Angie Burton, Amy (Chad) Seals, Jessica (Johnnie) Dougherty, and Chase Wolfe; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters-in-law, Jean Jones, Clara Phillips, and Geraldine Wolfe; and brother-in-law, Joe Wolfe. Special thanks to Charter Senior Living staff and the staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, November 6th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Heath Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 7th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
