Wilburn Benton Baxter

Wilburn Benton Baxter, age 93, of Talbott, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was a retired purchasing agent at Berkline Corp. He was a Korean war veteran, and served in the U.S. Navy and the Tennessee National Guard. Wilburn was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Disabled Veterans Association.  He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Stephen Benton Baxter; parents, Alvin N. Baxter and Cora E. Baxter; brothers, George Baxter, L.C. Baxter, and Wallace Baxter; and sister, Christina Inman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Baxter; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 on Monday, October 13th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service on Tuesday, October 14th at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. James Williams officiating.
