Born in Sycamore, Illinois, Bill attended both Sycamore and DeKalb schools. After living in many states, he eventually settled in Tennessee. Bill worked in multiple trades throughout his life, including roofing, construction, well drilling, and even music. A man of many talents, he especially loved building and woodworking, so much so that he built his own bar on his property in Mohawk.
Bill and his wife shared a love of fishing, camping, country music, and spending time with friends. Her work at Pattison ID and his work at Colortech, Inc. blessed them with a close-knit community of friends who supported them through both of their battles with cancer. During that time, Dr. Mailien Reed Rogers became not only their oncologist, but also a trusted and cherished friend. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
