William Allen Maynard, age 57, of Talbott, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2025. He is a beloved husband, daddy, papaw, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a skilled truck driver and a gifted mechanic, who mentored so many others in the field. He was generous with his time, skill, and money. His work ethic was only outpaced by the amount of love he felt for and showed to his family. He was a devoted husband, daddy, and papaw, whose main goal in life was to provide for and shower with love those who were blessed to belong to him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and fun that touched so many. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Barbara Maynard. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa; their daughters, Kandace Haag and Renee Mabry; and the sons-in-law that he loved like his own sons, Steven Haag and Jordan Mabry; his daughters blessed him with 3 grandsons, who were his entire world, Gabriel Haag, Oliver Haag, and George-William Mabry; he also leaves behind 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Bobby Smith, Donna and Jeff Stromatt, Sherry and John Michael, and Debra and Charles Rucker; cousins, including John and Jessie Maynard and others; a multitude of nieces and nephews will feel his loss: Corey, Dusty, Tamara, Terra, James, Alana, Matt, Kelsey, Lexi, and Cassie; he also leaves behind an innumerable number of amazing friends and business associates who will mourn his passing. Those he leaves behind find comfort in the fact that he had declared his faith in Jesus Christ and we know that this separation is only temporary. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dustin Wallace officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 15th at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
