William H.“Bill” Williams, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System at the age of 87. Bill’s passion was the Bible and serving the Lord. He was a faithful member of Kidwell’s Ridge Baptist Church, where he served as Trustee, Superintendent, and Sunday School Teacher. He cherished his church and loved the Lord above all else. He held his family dear to him with a special place in his heart for his grandson, Isaiah and his fiancé Kennedy. He opened Williams Furniture where he finished, repaired, and sold furniture. He played baseball in his younger years and loved bowling. Bill will be missed by a host of friends and relatives. He was born on Christmas Eve, 1932 to John C. and Bonnie Williams of Morristown who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Williams; sisters, Irene Ridley, Ellaire Smith, Virginia Sexton, Brenda Fletcher, and Sue Hill; and brothers Johnny, Roy, Raymond, Ernest, and Kenneth. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Collins Williams whom he cherished; sons, Anthony “Tony” Williams, and Joseph (Vicki) Williams; brother, Lynn Williams; grandchildren, Shaun and Isaiah Williams and fiancé’ Kennedy Chambers ; and great granddaughter, Evelyn Williams. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, August 27th at Kidwell’s Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm on Thursday at the church with Rev. Danny Lamb and Rev. Harold Noe officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am graveside service on Friday, August 28th at Kidwell’s Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
