William "Billy" Rickard

William “Billy” Rickard, age 70, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2023. He was a member and deacon of Westview Baptist Church. Billy was a devoted, patient, and generous husband, father, and grandfather. He was a painter for over fifty years and loved woodworking and gardening and retired from the maintenance department at First Baptist Church. He had a servant’s heart and was always helping others. He loved his family and his church family and was always working on projects at his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Melvin and Reba Nell Rickard; and father-in-law, Leroy Smith. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Teresa “Terri” Rickard; daughter, Amy (David) Walker of Volga, W.V.; son, Jason (Nikki) Rickard of Russellville; grandchildren, Marissa Walker, Chris Walker, Maylee Rickard, and Mya Grace Rickard; great-grandchild, Olivia Walker; sister, Mary “Cricket” (Johnny) Holston; mother-in-law, Sherry Smith; and several nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 20th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Travis Webb officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21st at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Youth Fund of Westview Baptist Church. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
