Wilma “Faye” Bowlin, age 81, of Bean Station, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Serenity Hospice House. She was a member of Rocky Summit Missionary Baptist Church and was saved at an early age at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tommy Bowlin, Sr.; parents, Walter and Tava Jane Barnett; and several brothers and sisters from Whitesburg. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Roy “Sonny” Bowlin, Jr. and Rev. Tim (Crystal) Bowlin; daughter, Lillie Faye “Sissie” (James) Wells; grandchildren, Faytoria “Button” (Brandon) Martin, Brock Wells, Malyda (Nick) Mosher, Heather (Hunter) Longmire, and Tyler Bowlin; great-grandchildren, Roman Martin, Emma Couch, Tori Martin, Madalyn Wilder, Damon Wilder, Brookelyn Wells, Syrah Wells, Natalie Wells, Joey Wells, Colton Longmire, and Cade Longmire; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Covenant Home Health and Hospice and to Friends of Hospice Serenity House. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 6th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7th at Rocky Summit Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Douglas Dalton and Rev. David Rutherford officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rocky Summit Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brock Wells, Tyler Bowlin, Roman Martin, Hunter Longmire, Brandon Martin, and Nick Mosher. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
