Charlotte Marie (Rudder) Long, age 87, of Bean Station, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of New Life Baptist Church of Bean Station. She was preceded in death by husband, Hobert “Frank” Long; sister, Bonnie Pratt; brothers, Hubert Rudder and Burl Rudder; and great granddaughter, Jessee Marie Halik. She is survived by her sons, Jearl (Clara) Long of Crosby, TX, and Gary (Myrna) Long of Mooresburg; daughters, Linda Southerland, Sharon (Larry) Long, Debbie Harrell, and Becky (Lowell) Welch, all of Bean Station; 12 grandchildren, Chris (Shannon) Long, Wendy (Erik)Hubbard, Angie (Mark) Spencer, Tim (Shawna) Southerland, Chad Harrell, Jessica (Jason) Halik, Tyler Harrell, Ashton (Daniel) Trent, Courtney Long, Heather (Brian) McMillian, Heath Long, and Seth Long; 12 great grandchildren, Madison Long, Chandler Long, Avery Long, Hannah Williams, Gracie Hubbard, Lauren Spencer, Taylor Southerland, Jordyn Halik, Emma Harrell, Jackson Trent, Hudson Trent, and Paisley McMillian; two great-great grandchildren, Gavin Clark and Eisley Clark; Also several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and special friends. The family expresses special thanks to the caregivers, Kristi, Wanda, Erlene, and Sherry. The family will receive friends 5-8 pm on Friday, July 29 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 pm on Saturday, July 30th at the funeral home with Rev. Lowell Welch, Rev. Jimmie Hubbard, and Rev. Jack Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at First Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bean Station. Singers will be Donnie and Paula Myers, and Tim Southerland.  Pallbearers will be Chris Long, Heath Long, Danny Southerland, Tim Southerland, Larry Long, and Stanley Rudder.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons, and grand sons-in-law. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
