Darrell “Dean” Greene, age 70, of Morristown, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his residence. Dean was a member and deacon of Temple Baptist Church of Morristown. He worked for Berkline Furniture where he retired and then drove school bus number 38 for the Hamblen County School System. He loved and adored his kids that rode his bus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosa Lee Greene; brother, Dallas Greene; sister, Linda Toby; and grandparents, Willis and Laura Greene and Lon and Velvie Rowe. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Greene; son, Jimmy (Angel) Greene; daughter, Stephanie (David) Booth; brothers, Roger (Linda) Greene and Gary (Lisa) Greene; grandchildren, Bradly Greene, Chelsey Greene, Kathryn Rader, Devin Booth, Damon Booth, and Dathan Booth; and one great-granddaughter, Raylyn Greene. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 15 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 16 at Temple Baptist Church in Morristown. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
