In the short time I was around papaw, he made me laugh, made me feel welcome, and most of all made me feel like family.

I can not thank him enough for making me feel like I actually fit in even though I didn't.

Since I met John I've married his grand-daughter the least I can do is make him proud as he watches over the two of us.

Thank you papaw.

My Tennessee family... I love y'all so much and I loved your Dad like he was my own, wish I could be there with y'all. My thoughts and prayers have been with everyone of you especially today. He was a wonderful, good hearted man who loved his family so much. Rest in Peace Papaw Johnny until we meet again. Hug Mamaw Phyllis. We love and miss you, Christina and family
