Sherry and all of the children and grand children, the words sorry seem so useless at a time like this. Always know that Steve is with you no matter what you do and that he would not want you to be alone or worried. he was a wonderful person and I am sure a wonderful Husband and Father, always had a smile on his face for everyone he met. he is with you even now. May God Bless you and keep you.

Mrs. Williams,
I doubt that you know or remember meeting me at the Crossville Big Lots with Steve a few years ago, but I worked as a furn dept manager under Steve as a dist. mgr. for Big Lots several years ago. Of all the supervisors or bosses I have had over my 20 years working for Big Lots, Steve was by far the best, no question about it. In fact, he was the best boss I ever had period. Outside of work, he was also one of the best men I have known. I have thought often of him over the last several years and spoken often of him to my wife whenever I complained about some of my more recent bosses. I have missed him professionally and personally and always thought some day I'm going to look him up and get reconnected. I still intend to do so, only now it won't be here or in Greeneville. It will have to wait until I finish my race and can join him and others I know who already made it over the finish line. In the meantime, if we can help in some way, please don't hesitate to let us know. I know everyone gives that cliché at these times, but if Steve could speak to you now, he'd tell you with me it is not a cliché. Steve and I were very much kindred spirits in that regard. If we said it, we did it and that is true still for me. God bless you and keep you and we will keep you in our prayers.

Sherry, I know he will be missed very much. He was my very best working friend my whole life at Big Lots, through thick and thin. He is God's hands now. We will see him again.
